Cacao!

Last night, I was able to try something new: eat a cacao fruit! It was my first time to both see and taste one, and I was giddy the whole time. I managed to take a picture of it before my dorm mates and I devoured it for dessert:

Doesn't it look like an ice cream cone?! Hahaha!

To eat it right, you're supposed to pick off the seeds and suck on them one by one. It was hard to pick them off, though, because the seeds were too slimy; they kept sliding off my hands. And then when I was finally able to put one seed in my mouth, I couldn't exactly begin the sucking process because, well, there's nothing to suck. I felt the fibers, all right, but I mostly just sipped the seed. Hahaha.

Boring post, I know. But whatever. It makes me happy when I get to do something new or different. :)

I googled some pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Scrumptious

Today, I had lunch at exactly 12 noon for the first time in weeks. (Yes, you may smack me on the head.) I blame it partially on that burning piece of hell they like to call an exam, which got me so depressed, I actually finished my meal in less than 10 minutes. But that part I blame on something else: Ate Aileen's incredibly heavenly beef caldereta. :)

It was one of the special times when I really got to enjoy eating. Don't get me wrong - I'm a total pig when it comes to food, but lately I've been battling with a rare kind of eating disorder (so rare, they don't even have a name for it), that it's become a daily struggle for me to get up and digest anything. (Why Lord, why?) So here I am, blogging about that extra special ten-minute meal I had with that delicious extra spicy beef caldereta. :)

Heniway, I forgot to take a picture of it 'cause I was busy stuffing my face with every morsel, but the picture above (from cafenilson.com) pretty much paints it. :)
