Good To Be Home

After almost 7 weeks of enduring the hellish kickoff of the second semester, I am finally home once more! I will never get tired of home. Home is where my heart is - like, really. It's my favorite place in the whole world; it's my sweet escape.

But heniway, I'm not here to be all mushy, I just wanted to share some pictures from last night's party. See, I got on a flight home with Dad last Friday (Dec. 18), and I had no idea my parents were hosting a Christmas party for the Iligan Rotary Club the following day, Saturday. In other words, hindi ako frefared, kamown. But that doesn't mean I wasn't in the mood to party! The pictures below should prove that. Haha! Pa-pa-party everyday! 'yun lang! Bow. (Could you tell this is just a quick post? Haha.)

I totally love Mom's new camera, a Canon Ixus. It's almost as good as an SLR. I'll be posting the entire album soon in my multiply site.

Happy Holidays, everyone! 4 more days 'til Christmas! Spread the love! :)

I Love My Festive Nails!

Hello, hello! I'm in an extremely good mood today because: a) I just went through one of the deadliest exams I ever had in the history of human events, and I don't even care about the result as long as it's the last I'm gonna have for this year! (Okay fine, it'd be extremely nice if I passed that one, but whatever); b) I'm wearing a limited edition Be Your Own Hero tee from Folded and Hung, which looks so adorable, I could just eat it; and, c) I just had my nails done! The color I chose is so festive, I'm bound to be in a good mood in the remaining days of 2009! (That is, if the color doesn't chip before that happens.)

Heniway, I couldn't resist writing a post about it 'cause it's really festive! At dahil d'yan, my nails bid you the happiest of holidays! :)

I Try To Do a Good Thing...

...and I get hurt.

Waaaaaaah!!! It won't stop bleeding!!!

How it happened:

I was cleaning my room in my usual obsessive-compulsive manner: I got everything out of its box/plastic wrap/leather case/etcetera, cleaned each item carefully, and then placed it right back in its original place.

The very last thing I got out was an old picture frame I got from my sister way back on my 17th birthday. I noticed that the glass was filthy - disturbingly filthy - so I dismembered the frame, and brushed alcohol on the glass using a cotton ball. You have to understand, of course, that I was doing all this while listening to music (because a second without it is almost unbearable), and as I was singing along, I lost rhythm of what I was doing, and my right thumb slashed right through the glass. Literally slashed. I was afraid my whole thumb was gonna come off, but I managed to muffle my scream lest I wake the entire neighborhood.

So there. I wrapped the horrid thing in a band-aid, and I still could see more blood trying to creep out of the wrap. Oh, joy. I feel like smashing something.

Cacao!

Last night, I was able to try something new: eat a cacao fruit! It was my first time to both see and taste one, and I was giddy the whole time. I managed to take a picture of it before my dorm mates and I devoured it for dessert:

Doesn't it look like an ice cream cone?! Hahaha!

To eat it right, you're supposed to pick off the seeds and suck on them one by one. It was hard to pick them off, though, because the seeds were too slimy; they kept sliding off my hands. And then when I was finally able to put one seed in my mouth, I couldn't exactly begin the sucking process because, well, there's nothing to suck. I felt the fibers, all right, but I mostly just sipped the seed. Hahaha.

Boring post, I know. But whatever. It makes me happy when I get to do something new or different. :)

I googled some pictures for your viewing pleasure:
